A place for community activities and individual workspace in the public open space

During COVID-19 people rediscovered their city closest surroundings. With no open shops or cafes to socially meet a new form of gathering occurred; meeting in parks, gardens and on the streets - an open air safe environment. Additionally, work from home has become the new standard, forcing individuals to look for alternative workspaces. Post pandemic, the hybrid workweek is here to stay, and the public space can offer alternative workspaces.

The round platform, a two sided round tribune, is designed to cater both needs. It effectively creates two spaces - a central space and an exterior tribune. While both spaces function primarily as a meeting place, they are designed with unique attributes suited for different purposes.

The central space can host a variety of outdoor activities, from community gatherings and kids activities to cultural events such as live music, movie screenings or lectures. The exterior tribune on the other hand functions as an alternative coffee shop. It has public workspaces up for grabs, including tables used for food, beverages or laptops.

The installation is designed to be easily implemented in city parks such as Meir Park, Dubnov Park etc. Made of wood planks. Dimensions: 10 m radius, 1.8 m height. These can adjust according to the chosen site.
