Remotel represents an alternative to the remote office and the commuting phenomenon.

Due to rising housing prices in urban areas, more and more people are choosing to live in rural areas and work in the larger market of the city. During the covid-19 pandemic period, it has become apparent that many people would rather choose isolation in nature if the city cannot offer them its culture-related program. Due to the growing request of the remote office, the idea of working close to nature, becomes more and more feasible. The Remotel represents a proposal for these tendencies, connecting the urban with the rural in a reciprocal direction. It is a floating hotel cell, moving in the water. An isolation space for working is offered, the floating platforms can connect the cells, transforming them into a co-working space. The water area manifests another ''way'' to work, where one does not have to commute to work, but working becomes commuting and commuting to nature in turn takes on a therapeutic effect.
